In September of 2010, I embarked on a nine month journey with the C.S. Lewis Institute Fellows Program, an intensive discipleship program intended to help devoted Christians grow deeper in Biblical foundations and relationship with Christ. The Fellows Program requires a high level of commitment with a rigorous monthly reading curriculum, small group fellowship, accountability groups, one-on-one coaching with seasoned mentors, and community development activities.
After much deliberation, I came to the conclusion that this was an opportunity I could not afford to give up. This would not only provide the time and space to grow deeper into the Word but would also serve as a unique juncture in my life where I could connect with like-minded DC professionals to grow and struggle for His deeper revelation together. Living a high-paced life in DC, I knew this would provide the discipline that my spirit was desperately searching for.
In order to maximize the insights and revelations I would gain from this journey, it seemed fitting to take this road to another level and create a public forum to share this walk. It is my intent to be as transparent as possible and ask you to keep me accountable for my thoughts and actions as I struggle through this process. My aim is not only to account for the awesome awakening that will ensue as a direct result of the program, but I also pray that He will allow me to use this journey to trace my entire life line in Him to better arrive at my spiritual autobiography.
I hope you will join me in this walk and partner with me in prayer that I do not miss out on His call to dive deeper into the character and integrity of Christ. Please pray that this becomes a significant stage in my life that will position me to an unshakable devotion to Him and to be a better vessel and fragrance for the kingdom. I stand in great expectation that God will bring life-altering blessings and renewal to my life during the next nine months.
